Community Fundraiser

22 hours per week
£16,000 per annum for 22 hours (£26,909 FTE)

We require an experienced community fundraiser to join our successful fundraising team.  The post holder will ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed effectively to generate income against service and organisational budgets and targets which support the organisations 3 year strategy.

Additionally, you will support individuals organising their own events, and participants of community fundraising events; this may include advising supporters on ways to get involved, supplying information and materials, giving encouragement and help to promote their fundraising. You will engage with local organisations, groups, schools, churches, as well as the corporate contacts to encourage their support.  You will be responsible for managing existing campaigns therefore knowledge of raffles and collection boxes is desirable.

You will be a confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, and able to show the drive and determination to promote and manage successful fundraising campaigns to achieve ambitious financial targets.

Essential criteria for this role include a minimum of two years fundraising experience and a proven track record of securing substantial amounts of money from various sources including, but not limited to, organising, marketing and delivering successful fundraising campaigns. You will have excellent administration and IT skills and substantial experience of confidently delivering fast paced, informative and persuasive presentations to attract supporters to the organisation.

It is desirable that the successful candidate has existing knowledge of the local geographical area.

This position is a fixed term contract for 12 months commencing July/August 2017. We will be looking to interview week commencing Monday 10th July
