What is Kooth.com?
In Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland children and young people aged 11-18 can now access counselling online through our Kooth website.
Kooth.com is an award winning FREE online counselling and wellbeing service, providing emotional and psychological support and advice for children and young people.
Kooth.com is Anonymous, Confidential, Safe and Easy to use – Young people can make up their username when they sign up and chat privately with a trainer counsellor, or get involved in our magazine and online community or through our forums.
Available when young people need it – 24 hours. Messaging and chat rooms open till 10pm – 365 days per year to drop in and talk to someone. Counsellors are available from 12 noon till 10pm, Monday to Friday and from 6pm-10pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Professional and personal – Young people can read about and choose which counsellor to contact. All our online counsellors are qualified, experienced and have enhanced DBS checks.
Flexible – Young people have the choice to drop in when they want, or if preferred can arrange a booked time to talk with a counsellor.
A joined up service –We link with schools, community based services and health services to make sure young people get the best help they need at the time they need it.
Confidential counselling service offering long-term counselling for up to 2 years to adults in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The centre works with individuals who are suffering from depression, anxiety or stress, relationship issues, past or present abuse, family problems, bereavement, money problems, work related problems and many other things. Clients are asked to make a financial donation towards counselling sessions on a self assessed basis. This is negotiable upon circumstances.
Provides a variety of counselling, educational and recreational activities for women and girls of all backgrounds, religions and communities. Services include bereavement counselling, befriending services, confidence building, volunteering opportunities, help into work. A range of holistic therapies: Indian head massage, aromatherapy, reflexology. Courses in textiles, child care, computer, dressmaking and textile training. Well being activities: keep fit, yoga, gym and sauna. On site nursery.
Offers counselling and psychotherapy for a broad range of psychological, spiritual and emotional issues. Aims to help clients find new ways to heal, grow and learn through the therapy process. Fees are on a sliding scale up to £45 per session. Clients must be able to travel to Narborough. Day and evening appointments available. Counselling room and toilet are on first floor with stairs.

We aim to offer clients the space and time to explore and clarify any difficulties they may be facing. This includes bereavement, redundancy, illness, stress, depression, sexual or other abuse. Work is confidential except in certain circumstances which will be discussed. Therapists are from a variety of backgrounds and therapeutic styles and are committed to working to those of of any or no faith. All work is professionally managed and supervised. Apointments are available throughout the week in Ashby and Loughborough, though first contact is via our Ashby contact details. A confidential telephone answer phone is available to leave a message – calls are returned as soon as we are able if a name and number is left. We are accredited by ACC. Therapists/counsellers are accredited by BACP and UKCP (or are working toward accreditation). Couples counselling is available. Supervision is also available for other professionals, groups and ministers of religion. There is a £15 cost to cover the registration form and assessment appointment. The cost of further sessions will be negotiated.
