Important service update from Lamp Chief Executive, Richard Kotulecki

Lamp is happy to announce that it is reopening its services to the community at the beginning of February 2024. This will begin with a phased reopen, meaning that phone lines will be open for information, advice and signposting 9-5pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you call us on a Monday, Tuesday or Friday, you can still leave a message via our voicemail service and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

As our advocates are currently working hard to see the remainder of the waiting list, there will be a short wait between referral and access to an advocate for new cases. However, this will only be a brief wait of approximately eight weeks, and an information and advice officer will contact you halfway through this time (around a month after referral) to check in on your health and wellbeing, and provide any guidance and signposting that you may need.

If you would prefer to email us, you can still do so at info@lampdirect.org.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

To keep our services running smoothly, and for our advocates to give each individual their upmost care and attention, we will be reopening with a new system, allotting eight hours of advocacy to each new individual, per issue with which they would like support. If, during your time with an advocate, a new issue arises, this will be re-referred and assessed by your advocate, to give support as needed.

We look forward to continuing our work in the community. If you have any questions about our services or feel that you would like support from an advocate, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
