Q: How do I search LAMP’s directory?
There are three ways to search: filter via category, such as activities if you’re looking for something to keep you active, or perhaps you’re looking for groups that directly support service users; via basic search box for key words like, recovery, support, groups etc; via advanced search if you already known the organisation’s name, such as LAMP. Basic search does not provides results if you search an organisation’s name, it’s used solely for key words.
Q: What are the definitions of the directory’s categories ?
Activities: these are projects/services that can help you keep well and improve your quality of life, improve your skills and meet new people.
Advocacy: these are projects/services that provide mental health advocacy. If you’re unsure what advocacy, read our information on advocacy.
Employment: these are projects/services that can support people access work placements, training and jobs.
Housing: these are projects/services that can provide support and information on housing or housing issues.
Support – Service Users: these are projects/services who specific remit is to work with and support service users.
Support – Carers: these are projects/services who specific remit is to work with and support carers of service users.
Advice Services: these are projects/services that can support people in various areas, such as benefits, form filling, debt, family, consumer – please note this is not an exhaustive list.
Counselling/Therapy: these are projects/services that can provide counselling/therapy. These services can range from statutory to VCS.
Young Adults: these are projects/services that work with young adults with mental ill-health.
Q: How does my organisation add an entry on the directory?
LAMP has a strict criteria for its directory to prevent an overflow of entries making it difficult and time consuming for service users and their carers to use. The aim of the directory is to empower service users to find services/projects that can support them. It is not a exhaustive directory of statutory services, or projects/services who’s main remit is not mental health service users.
Q: How does my organisation update it’s entry on the directory?
