Scraptoft Golf Club raises £6,067 for Lamp!

The 2022 Captains of Scraptoft Golf Club, Chris Fawcett and Cathryn Hoyland, have presented a cheque for over £6,000 to Lamp after choosing to support the charity at various events throughout the last year.

Lamp CEO, Richard Kotulecki, and Corporate and Community Engagement Manager, Matt Barton, received the cheque from the captains.

Matt Barton said:

“A sincere thank you to everyone at Scraptoft Golf Club for their support and donations to Lamp during 2022. We are truly grateful and blown away by the amount raised. It’s been an absolute pleasure to see the community spirit at the club and we’re so grateful everyone has come together to support the charity. We cannot thank Chris and Cathryn enough for their support to Lamp over the last year, not only raising over £6,000 for the charity, but to raise the profile of Lamp and how we support the community in which we live. As a small local mental health charity, the fundraising efforts really help to continue our mental health advocacy work, being by the side of individuals navigating the mental health system and trying to access the right support that will aid in their recovery.”

Events throughout 2022 included a ladies golf open in May and a hugely successful tournament which coincided with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Chris and Cathryn commented:

“We are delighted with the amount that has been raised by the members and friends of Scraptoft Golf Club. This has been a magnificent collective effort which will help many that are affected by the impact of mental health issues. We would like to thank everyone involved.”
