LAMP was proud to be a part of the national ‘Time to Talk’ event which was held today (February 1st) in Leicester at St Martins House. Running from 10am-4pm, the event was a great way to raise awareness and to help change the attitudes towards mental health.

It was an opportunity for people to just drop by and take some time out for themselves and find out information on the local support services available within the city, as well as engage in the free workshops, listen to guest speakers and enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.

Our stall stood alongside five other charities/organisations stands in the Grand Hall and attracted a steady flow of traffic. It’s been a positive day speaking to different people about any queries they had or information they needed with regards to our services.

Whether it was just to collect information leaflets and freebies, or people wanting more information about our services, at least 75% had heard about the work that we do at LAMP and the services we provide to some extent, which was a positive response.
