world’s most acclaimed film editors, Eddie Hamilton, for an afternoon of fascinating stories, behind the scenes insights and inspiring conversation.
Hosted by broadcaster Martin Ballard, this special event will take place at De Montfort University, bringing together businesses, supporters and members of the local community in support of Lamp’s independent mental health advocacy service.
Eddie has built an extraordinary career editing some of Hollywood’s biggest films, including the Mission: Impossible series, Top Gun: Maverick, Kingsman: The Secret Service and X Men: First Class. His work has placed him at the heart of some of cinema’s most memorable action sequences, working alongside some of the industry’s biggest names.
During the interview, Eddie will share his journey from aspiring editor to Hollywood success, offering a unique insight into the creative process behind blockbuster filmmaking, the pressure of working on major productions, and the importance of resilience, teamwork and pursuing your passion.
